BST delivers systems engineering services that are client-focused, designed to elicit and document the client’s unique operational and management challenges that drive the need for a new system or enhancements to an existing system. Our service delivery approach takes into consideration the client’s affected stakeholders, assuring that system design and system implementation deliver the functionality required for a comprehensive solution based on continuous validation of system requirements. BST offers a combination of skill sets that enable us to assume highly trusted roles in providing clients with cybersecurity engineering and analytical services. BST information system security engineers work directly with the client’s management and technical staff to assist in developing a cybersecurity solution that appropriately balances business risk and risk mitigation solutions. We help validate that solution through a combination of functional and security testing. Our personnel frequently assume the trusted role of Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to assist clients in ongoing management of a system’s security architecture through continuous monitoring. Our security control assessors assist clients in evaluating, selecting, and testing their cybersecurity solutions to identify and mitigate potential problems and maintain system authorization.
BST assists government and commercial clients in understanding and reducing risk to their IT/OT infrastructure and to implement solutions that enable them to manage their infrastructure vulnerabilities. Our assessors evaluate our client’s security architecture from a broad perspective that incorporates technical, legal, policy, and procedural considerations.
Our security assessors hold not only typical cybersecurity certifications, such as Certified Information System Security Professional, but also cross-cutting certifications in OT security assessment that comply with IEC 52443, the standard that addresses cybersecurity for operational technology in industrial automation and control systems. We provide our government clients, such as the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (CISA) with ongoing security assessment services for mission-critical systems and have enabled commercial clients doing business with the DoD to complete Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance assessments. We are also deeply involved in cybersecurity service delivery to offer critical infrastructure (CI) providers with services to secure their IT/OT systems.
